RESPONSIBILITIES:

Take projects from rough concept to camera-ready art to final product. Obtain necessary approvals under tight deadlines. Consult with ad representative, client and or general sales manager to evaluate individual project needs and understand specific requirements. Schedule, design, desktop computer generate, layout, paginate, format, type and edit documents for producing magazines, cover art, ads, flyers, forms, brochures, newsletters and marketing collateral material. E-mail electronic proofs to customers for approval. Final documents electronically checked (preflight) and prepared (PDF) for printer. Monitor paper quality, costs and printing.

PROGRAM SKILLS:

Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat) and Apple’s iWork (Pages, Numbers and Keynote) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).


EQUIPMENT SKILLS:

Power Macintosh computers (running Mac OS X software), servers (archival set-up), digital cameras, various scanners and color printers.


PROFESSIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

Good communication and organizational abilities. Managed a production art department. Helped developed and designed company's archival system, templates and libraries for accessing and archiving electronic documents in the production department. Worked closely with ad representatives on various art projects. Department MacTech Support - Knowledgeable with troubleshooting systems and programs.
